I promised to keep you updated when our on demand movies became available on fancy new gadgets. Today, I keep that promise, because Blockbuster On Demand is available on the awesome new Samsung Fascinate phone from Verizon!
Similar to the Droid 2 and Droid X, the Blockbuster app comes pre-loaded on the Fascinate. That means you’ll be able to download hundreds of movies to watch on the phone, with no monthly fees, due dates, or late fees. And that includes most new releases!
Once you get your hands on a Fascinate, all you have to do is activate the app on your shiny new phone. Then you’re on a one-way trip toMoviesOnYourPhoneVille. And we’re still offering SPECIAL BONUS PRIZES for activating. Find out more by clicking the link below.

David,
Will blockbuster be available to the other Galaxy S phones through the Samsung Media Hub? I have AT&T and would like to have Blockbuster On Demand on a phone.
I know that my comment does not relate to this blog. I was unable to find a more appropriate posting for my comments. I am so upset at Blockbuster now that I am going from site to site voicing my frustration. Your company is so horrible. Verbal, email, and chat support is extremely bad. I had one simple issue–have my credit card info removed from the website. For two weeks and speaking to 10 reps I had to deal with this very simple issue. One of your account manager from the on demand department Sharwna hanged up the phone on me on Fri. And one of your online tech support from the download department can not write professionally. She had a lot of spelling errors. Originally, I wanted my credit card removed. I was told that I could not. That I do not understand why it can not be removed from your website but kept on file. So, I agree to a compromise to have it replace with a new card. Instead of having my credit card info remove and replace with new card, one rep kept it and added my new card 4 times. So now I have 2 credit card 5 times on your website. I finally spoke to a rep today who was able to disable my online login. That is good and acceptable. Ideally, I wish I could have removed my credit card and still have the account open. But I had to keep calling and wait 30min for each 10 calls.
Hi Noran,
I can’t comment on phones that haven’t been announced yet, but I can tell you we’re working with a number of carriers and manufacturers to get Blockbuster On Demand on as many phones as possible. I’ll continue to announce availability on new phones here as it happens.
Hi Rohan,
I responded to your comment on a Facebook post with an email address to our Customer Care Escalation team. I hope that’s what you used to have your issue addressed. Please let me know if you need any additional help.
Just remember folks, Blockbuster is the wonderful company that in the late 1980′s and 90′s opened thousands of stores across the America’s and Europe that allowed our families to watch movies in the comfort and security of our living rooms. Blockbuster Entertainment, and their franchisee’s also employed well over 100,000 high school and college students in jobs that allowed those young people to follow their educational goals, without having to take out student loans that would take years to repay. My wife and I both graduated from universities, debt free, thanks to Blockbuster and their independent franchise store owners.
David,
Where is Blockbuster video on demand? There is not a single device from At&T that has Blockbuster, am I going to have to switch to Verizon to get Blockbuster?
What are you guys waiting for?
Noran
Hi Noran,
We’re working with a number of phone manufacturers and service providers to get Blockbuster On Demand on more phones. Currently, we’re on a number of Verizon phones, and also a couple of phones that are on T Mobile.
Hi David,
I just purchased a Samsung Fascinate. It’s a fine phone but has several apps that can’t be removed, one of which is Blockbuster and another is Bing. So now I’ll have a phone with software I didn’t ask for, don’t want and can’t uninstall.
Without wanting to be rude, I am not happy at all with Blockbuster for having an app that cannot be easily removed. All your company has achieved is making me determined to NOT use their services. Next time, an opt-out button would be appropriate.
Hello,
I am really wondering why I have to pay for On Demand movies when I already pay the monthly fee for By Mail movies. Am i missing something? Are On Demand movies included with my monthly fee that I already pay to get DVD by Mail or is charging for On Demand movies on top of the Monthly fee just another way to rip off customers?
