Blockbuster On Demand is now on the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Samsung Continuum

In our continuing efforts to offer movie downloads on all the sweetest new gadgets, we’re on the newly-released-as-of-today Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet and Samsung Continuum phone.

Now Blockbuster On Demand is on nearly 100 different devices, including phones, TVs, Blu-ray players, and more. How cool is that? Answer: pretty cool, actually.

Samsung Galaxy Tab

  • Watch movies on a clear, high-res, 7″ screen.
  • The battery lasts for hours of movie watching. Or looking up cat videos on the internet. Whatever’s your pleasure.
  • Features Adobe Flash 10.1.

Samsung Continuum

  • 3.4” Super AMOLED main display has wider viewing angles and less reflectivity.
  • The ticker display keeps you constantly updated with what your friends are having for lunch and other important social media updates.
  • The Android operating system gives you access to the Android app market — I highly recommend Angry Birds.

  2. Erik,

I just stopped at T-mobile and they stated I could not get Blockbuster on demand on the Galaxy X tab, what is up with that?

  5. So when will you be on the others, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Etc.?

  6. We’re already on a few T-Mobile phones. Unfortunately, I don’t have a timeline for every device. Trust me — we would like to be on every new smart phone that comes out for every carrier, but we have to work with each carrier and manufacturer for every phone to get our app on there, along with the movie studios.

  8. I know its on the verizon galaxy. Im hoping that Netflix will be released onto galaxy or android period soon. Netflix has yet to join the Android platform on any device. It would be awesome. But Netflix will not cross Android platform until it is more DRM friendly. Im like most love the tablet concept. But feel the common task I expect now will now be hard core tweaks, or hacks for the tablet. I think maybe in a few years when the concept becomes more typical will improve on the software side. All the great hardware and slacking software makes for better thinking for now, especially at twice the price of all Netbooks. Get netbook if u need mobile with less sacrifice.

  9. Come on guys. This “only available on this provider” crap has got to stop. Do you really think your customers care about providers? I have the Galaxy Tab thru T-Mobile but what difference does it really matter? When I’m on Wifi at home T-Mobile’s network isn’t even used.

Plus you program for the Android OS not the provider. Why do you have to work with the providers to make an Android application?

This stuff is getting stupid. Business just can’t keep up with technology and we all suffer because of it.

  10. I agree..the bs of blocking competing products is ridiculous and distasteful. Hopefully the new net neutrality rules can change these practices and give the consumers what they should have access to..we don’t want to have to pay for free products if we have a choice.
