Walt

A Do-It-Yourself Disney Holiday

On this day in 1901, Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois. In honor of what would’ve been Mr. Disney’s 109th birthday, we want to help you celebrate the holidays, Disney-style. In 1958, Walt Disney Productions presented a special titled “From All of Us to All of You,” also known in later years as “A Disney Channel Christmas”, “A Disney Christmas Gift” and most recently, “Jiminy Cricket’s Christmas.”

These days, we’re lucky if any of the above are rebroadcast here in the states. But according to Wikipedia, around 40% of all Swedes watch it on Christmas Eve every single year. (One ticket to Sweden, please!) So while we’re waiting for Santa to bring us the DVD version of this unreleased classic (please please Santa!), it’s still possible to relive the magic of this holiday special at home with clips from various other Disney DVDs. You’ll just need a little patience and bit of help from your good friends at Blockbuster. (That’s us!)

Sorry, but you’ll have to supply the Jiminy Cricket voiceovers yourself.
