Real Housewives of Orange County
By Karina Sanchez
We already know that Vicki is looking to sell her house. It’s on the market as we speak. But it’s becoming more and more apparent that Vicki is looking to get rid of something else — Donn. On Sunday night’s episode, Vicki and her family were enjoying a nice dinner at home. That’s when she revealed that she works until 1 a.m. because, since her kids are grown and living on their own, she has nothing to come home to. Hello? Your husband is sitting right next to you. What about that guy?
Fernanda becomes a U.S. citizen and throws a party to celebrate. Tamra can’t make it because she’s moving. During the move, Tamra comes across her wedding dress and wedding glasses. She realizes that divorcing and quickly moving into a new relationship has left her little to no time to grieve.
Alexis hosts a rejuvenation party complete with champagne, hors d’oeuvres and free Botox. At the party, Fernanda confronts Tamra about not coming to her citizenship party. Peggy boasts about her plans to get breast implants. Vicki behaves herself but comments that, because she’s a working woman, she can’t always arrive to parties on time. And Alexis tinges with jealousy as her friend Peggy warms up to Vicki. How rejuvenating!
The Amazing Race
By Karina Sanchez
The Amazing Race did not air on Sunday due to the showing of the Country Music Awards. It’ll be back next week, but let’s take a look at the remaining 7 teams and what’ll get them to the next round.
Gary and Mallory — The best thing that this team has going for it is intuition. It took Mallory a while to find the correct tea in the last episode, but that didn’t mean they fell behind. They’re currently in first place, but in this competition, you never know where the next challenge will take you.
Flight Time and Big Easy — This team has athleticism on their side, but I think their build has been a hindrance for them. Being tall guys, they barely fit in the tiny cabs of Kolkata. That can significantly slow them down in this fast-paced competition.
Jet and Cord — These good old boys are just nice, and that may help them, but sometimes you need to push and shove to get ahead on this show. I hope they’ve got it in them.
Kent and Vyxsin — These dating Goths seem to have a good relationship and are able to communicate well. I think they just need to move a little quicker and think a little faster to gain the lead.
LaKisha and Jennifer — The sisters are speedy, but they may be a little too quick for their own good. They’ve been known to miss small details that carry a lot of importance in this race.
Ron and Christine — This father-daughter team is smart, but unlike LaKisha and Jennifer, they just don’t have the speed. If Ron can just zone in on getting the task at hand done in a quicker manner, they’ll go far.
Zev and Justin — These best friends have the confidence, but they get easily frustrated when stuck at a task or when they can’t figure something out. If they relax and concentrate, the answers will come.
Kourtney and Kim Take New York
By Arundel Bell
Wow, E! and the Kardashian crew really know how to finish up a show. On the last episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York (I know, what are we going to watch now? Khloe and Lamar’s show?), love is in the air for the East Coast Kardashian sisters, with Kim finding herself a new romance and Kourtney on the verge of an engagement.
Kim is really enjoying her life in New York thanks to her new love interest, New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries. She says, “I mean, I’m like the Queen of New York.” Kim, honey, three months in New York does not make you the queen. Will she stay or will she go back to Los Angeles?
Meanwhile, Kourtney and Scott realize that they do not have an actual anniversary, so they decide to celebrate it that night. Scott and Kim hurry to look for an anniversary gift. Then, an epiphany:
“Something clicks. I’m sitting here, I’m 27 years old. I have a son that’s almost a year old, and I’m going to buy earrings or a necklace one more time,” he says. “I feel like at this point in my life, why aren’t I just buying an engagement ring?”
Scott considers proposing to Kourtney. He’s the father of their child, has been through a lot with her, and is a changed man because of it. He buys an engagement ring, takes her to a nice dinner and starts talking about how much he loves her.
“I mean, I happen to love you obviously more than you love me,” he says, without a second to spare before Kourtney shoots back, “obviously.” As Scott begins to discuss the thought of marriage and everlasting love, Kourtney tells him things are finally good between them so “why mess it up?”
“I just feel like right now I’m happy with the way things are,” she tells a sad-looking Scott.
We all know you can’t take the LA out of Kim, but the new love of her life might be able to get her to move. Kourtney and Scott might be moving back into a house in LA, but will their love survive? We will have to continue to watch what happens to these girls.
With Khloe and Lamar’s show premiering next week, we’ve got a whole new round of Kardashians on our hands.
