How can you expect to stay in business when the mail plans offer games three months or more after their release date? Won’t be long before all of blockbuster is out of business if you keep using dumb business models to “revitalize” your company. This isn’t revitalizing, it is just ticking people off who USED to be customers and try to look for reasons to come back but every time it is just more of the same old crap.
Come up with a way for people to mail their movies back in even when they rent them from the store. The fun part about going to a store is picking out the movie in person. The not-fun part is driving back to the store to return it. And stop closing your stores if you can help it! :) The ability to exchange stuff will be the only thing that sets you apart. My 2¢
I truly love how this company is being reinvented. The biggest difference for me is how friendly everyone is…ALL the time. Granted you still need to work on making sure everyone knows all the details about your different plans, but I have no doubt you will communicate that so much better.
I have a blockbuster subscription because it came with my Dish Network for free. Sorry Blockbuster, but for me to cancel Netflix and sign up with you, you need to start streaming. I love that I can stream movies from Netflix to my iPhone. You are going to need to catch up with the times.
Funny, new blockbuster is still a lil glitchy and in its adolesence but it has awsome potential. The site needs work, that can be easily fixed. But you can literally go pick up your que from a store and you can rent games and the overall price is better. I have both netflix and blockbuster. I agree netflix is still top, but blockbuster has the potential to be king again. Will be interesting to see if blockbuster shines or dies.
I Just got a new Blu-ray player with Blockbuster and netflix so I created a new account for both and I tried both companies, I got a better deal with netflix for Just 7.99 a month I get unlimited streaming, This is a better deal than Blockbuster. Sorry Blockbuster I will Cancel my account with you. why should I pay for each movie when I could see all for just $7.99 a month…..
This website is horrible!!! Not user friendly at all. All I wanted to do was to find out how I can go about having Blockbuster movies mailed to me and how much would that cost…what a hassle..
I thank the main thing that Blockbuster and Dishnet has missed here is that the latest technology leans toward steaming.
I was very interested in the new Blockbuster until I figured out I can not stream to my Playstation console.
So back to Netflix for now.
Why is your website such a nightmare to navigate. I saw a commercial, came here find out…….no information at all. If what I read on reviews you charge for every service?

Hmmm…really?
So you also have additional channels that came with your blockbuster movie pass(like starz, which netflix doesn’t have), you have the ability to log into Dishonline and watch the TV you pay for at home everywhere, you can also DVR content, and with the app, watch that content remotely.
Meanwhile, the fact that the STUDIOS charge for their premium content, and Netflix, Blockbuster, Redbox, etc…provide a service to consumers who do not want to pay the STUDIOS(greedy?) for that content, makes them “greedy, behind the times, limited content, old content, bad quality, always out of stock…”
For an extra 10 bucks on top of my dish package, I get premium content, online and off. I’m also a casual gamer, so thats another bonus for me.
The service may not suit everyone, but I was watching rise of the planet of the apes last week, thats not on netflix or dishonline, but it was available in-store as part of my subscription.
My only complaint, it took me a bit to get everything with my sling, dvr, and remote connections to work seamlessly and I do pay more then netflix, but the value in respect to content is well worth it.
IMO, all-you-can-eat buffets are great, but you get what you pay for.
Blockbuster, if you want to be better than Netflix, you need to be able to stream from any device.
I do like blockbuster because they get movies faster than netflix and you can exchange the movies in the store but if you are closing most of the stores, you will be losing that one added benefit that netflix does not have.
The store closest to me is about 5 mins away and is closing. The nearest one will be 30-45 mins from me now. Therefore, i will still be paying for an option that is a part of my package that is no longer easily accessible which is in-store exchanges.
I’m a long long time blockbuster subscriber who is VERY spoiled with the selection of NEW releases. Would stay with blockbuster forever if I could stream unlimited new releases to my TV (cable subscriber not interested in moving to DISH). Just signed up for a trial netflix sub, the movie choices are weak..a few new releases, mostly older movies I’ve already seen. Blockbuster, you can beat your competition IF you provide a subscription for unlimited streaming of the NEW releases you have available in stores/mail.
How about this title “Say Goodbye To Blockbuster..Again”. Your service-by-mail couldn’t get any worse. If you do stay in business, it would be a miracle. The turn around time from my que to receiving it in the mail is PATHETIC! And no, it is not due to the post office being slow in shipping! Try getting a new movie title from your que! HA,HA! Try getting an OLD movie from your que. HA HA! Try getting returned movies cleared from your que so that you can get more movies sent to you..GOOD LUCK. Try calling their customer service for help! GOOD LUCK. All the customer service will do for you is promise to send you a coupon for ONE free rental, and then don’t even send you the damn coupon! Look at the majority of responses people are sending you about your company!! Listen to what they are saying..You need to fire your whole Board and clean house or you will be out of business very very soon!!!! Your service suuuuuucks! I cancelled my subscription today…
