Football Alternatives for Thanksgiving

Alright people, it’s game time! This Thanksgiving it’s all up for grabs, with the Dallas Cowboy going up against the…

Ok, I can’t even make it through that 2nd sentence. Look, I’ll be honest (at least here, the rest of this post might be an elaborate ruse, played just on you), sports just doesn’t click with me. You might be the same. Oh sure, most of us like stuffing our faces to the point of nausea with turkey goodness, potatoes of the mashed variety with a gravy of your choice and some pumpkin pie, but it’s the after party that I just don’t get. Why do I want to watch a bunch of strangers shoving each other around a field, chasing a ball, for a couple of hours? I think a sharp blow to the head would bring me more enjoyment (and no, that’s not an open invitation to assault me).

So what I’m going to do is give you alternatives to sports fever madness. Being who I am, this is definitely going to have a nerd bent to it. These are all subjective; your mileage might vary. Seriously, though, don’t hit me in the head — my wife wouldn’t care for that.
