  • Michael Bay has been getting a lot of heat lately for his plan to re-engineer the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For his film, he suggests that the TMNT come from an alien race, instead of some ooze mutation. Though many have bashed him for the idea, one of the original co-creators, Peter Laird, says give the guy a break!
  • The Hunger Games showings are already selling out. Fandango has already sold more tickets for this movie than Twilight tickets during its entire run. And top theater chains are reporting advanced sales of nearly $15 million.
  • Fox is pulling I Hate My Teenage Daughter 2 weeks earlier than scheduled after reporting disappointing ratings. The six remaining episodes will air in the summer.
  • The future of The Office is even more in question now that its writer-producer Paul Lieberstein, who also plays Toby on the show, is leaving the series to work on the Dwight Schrute spin-off. Rainn Wilson and Mindy Kaling are signed on to other shows, and Ed Helms and John Krasinksi have yet to sign new deals for the show’s ninth season.
