Movies for Fashion Week 2012

DWP

Tomorrow kicks off Fashion Week in NYC, and mostly I care because of watching The Rachel Zoe Project and going “bananas” over the super sweet outfits and vintage designer dresses that cost more than most people’s first cars. You start to believe everyone needs a $16,000 Birkin bag from Hermes (except not really because that’s nuts). Even Tim Gunn puts a realistic limit on bag shopping and suggests Macy’s, which seems much more feasible for the average buyer. It also helps that he’s one of their spokespeople — but whatevs, back to Fashion Week. Since I won’t be able to attend (somehow my invites went missing), I’ll get my fill of fashion by catching up on some movie and TV favorites. Read More

Movies Not to Mix Up

crossroads2

These are movies that share the same name but aren’t remakes of the same film. I realized the confusion this causes after a DVR incident of recording the wrong film with the same name last week. I was seriously irritated when I settled in to start my movie and realized what happened. The husband was sympathetic only after much snickering, which was not enjoyed by all. Read More
