What I Watched: Week 4/24/2011
So technically, these first few are what I watched last week, but since this comes out Thursday, it’s unavoidable. Most people loved last Thursday’s Community, and while I liked it in theory, the execution wasn’t all I’d hoped for. Still, much like Buffy, even a disappointing episode of Community is still better than 80% of what’s out there. On the positive side, I love a clip show with all new clips. Loved Jeff’s monologue montage. And my two favorite lines were, “Feast your ear-tongues on these memory pops!” and “It’s called chemistry! I have it with everyone!” Read More

What I Watched: Week of 4/17/2011
Before I move on to this week, I need to squeal for a moment over last Friday. Fringe and Friday Night Lights! The return of FNL makes me bounce in my chair. Oh show, I’ve missed you so much! It’s sad that this will be the last season, but I’m so glad we got 5. And the first episode of this final season did not disappoint, we got to spend some time with Landry and Julie (and Grandma Saracen!) before they head off to college. Coach’s nostalgia echoes what it feels like to see all these people go through all these changes. I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds until we reach the very final episode. Read More

What I Watched: Week of 3/27/2011

Castle
I love this show so much! I didn’t so much enjoy the mystery this week (I had it figured out pretty early on), but there were so many great character moments. Ryan and Esposito would be the best thing about Castle, if it weren’t for everything else. Relationships that could be trite and typical for television are so much deeper and more complicated here.
